I just finished up a short documentary about activism in Second Life , called A Better World in Second Life. The film looks at the ways a handful of activists are using SL to promote awareness for Darfur, organize groups, protest the war in Iraq, and more. I learned a lot about the positives and negatives of using SL to promote social change. While I didn't directly address using SL for education, I think a lot of the lessons learned apply to it as well.
You can watch it here: www.levjoy.com/betterworld
I'm interested in showing it publicly and in SL, and welcome ideas and suggestions.
