An article was recently published in the Japan Journal on Second Life. It includes parts of an interview that we did on the Pacific Rim Exchange project (with my partner in Japan, Chris Flesuras). Here's the English version of the article:

And now for the cool part of this post, the Kyoto students finally have tweaked out the avatars enough to take a class picture on the island. Here's a full sized image of that screenshot.

They are getting pretty creative in with their avatars, especially that short one up front with the force field around him. He must have some personal space issues.
